New York prosecutor seeking Trump’s taxes cites ‘protracted criminal conduct’ at the Trump Organization

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance told a judge on Monday that he was justified in demanding Trump's tax returns, citing public reports of “extensive and protracted criminal conduct at the Trump Organization.” In his court filing, Vance pointed to reports that Trump inflated his wealth to potential lenders and business partners. Trump’s lawyers argued last month that the grand jury subpoena was issued in "bad faith" and amounted to "harassment of the president."
