New "officer-in-charge" of "corrupted" Dickson City Police Department

Dickson City Borough Council voted to name a borough police officer to temporarily head the  "corrupted" Dickson City Police Department as they search for a permanent police chief. Borough Police Chief Michael Resetar tendered his resignation letter earlier this month and council voted to accept his resignation effective Friday, council President Barbara Mecca said. Council voted Tuesday to name Officer Michael Fredericks , who Chief Resetar recommended, as officer in charge until a permanent replacement can be found, she said. There is a pending lawsuit againts the troubled police department for corruption and abuse.
