Sex assault suspect allegedly mugged two cabbies before attack

Woman sexually assaulted by man armed with screwdriver Woman sexually assaulted by man armed with screwdriver The sicko accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside her apartment while armed with a screwdriver attempted to rob two cab drivers in the hours before the attack, according to court papers released Wednesday. It was 9:15 a.m. on Sunday when Yenson Reyes allegedly mugged the first cabby at 175 Payson Ave. in Inwood by pointing a silver handgun into his side and demanding money, a criminal complaint says. Reyes, 35, fled with $110 in cash and a tablet device he swiped from the cab’s dash board. About nine hours later, in the same area, he allegedly flashed a knife at another cab driver, again demanding money. Reyes took off after the victim refused and put up a struggle. The tattooed fiend then broke into a 26-year-old woman’s apartment on West 213th Street near Broadway around 8:30 p.m. with a T-shirt covering his face, according to the complaint and prosecutors. He threatened the woman with a screwdriver and forced her to perform oral sex on him twice before he fled with cash and electronic devices. The woman was able to take note of the pervert’s distinct tattoos, which helped identify him. Reyes said nothing during his brief appearance Wednesday in Manhattan criminal court. He faces a slew of charges for all three incidents — criminal sex act, burglary, robbery, sexual assault and attempted robbery. Prosecutors said he could face between 10 years to life in prison and that his rap sheet includes a “staggering long list of felonies.” Reyes was remanded without bail.
